About Us

Who we are

Honoring Sacrifice. Preserving Dignity.

Vet5 Foundation was founded by five Army veterans whose bond was forged through multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. Years of shared service created a deep understanding that the transition home does not end when the mission does—and that connection, accountability, and purpose remain essential long after the uniform comes off.

That understanding took on deeper meaning when Vet5’s founder was paralyzed just before retiring from the Army. The injury brought immediate clarity: life after service can change in an instant, and the wounds veterans and first responders carry—both visible and invisible—often affect every aspect of their lives.

Post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injuries, and catastrophic physical injuries impact not only those who served, but also the families who stand beside them every day. Spouses, children, and loved ones often shoulder the weight of recovery, uncertainty, and the loss of identity that can follow service-related trauma.

VISION

Vet5 exists to help heal those wounds while preserving the dignity earned through service. Through outdoor recreational therapy—including offshore fishing trips, guided hunts, and shared outdoor challenges—Vet5 creates environments where healing happens naturally. These experiences restore teamwork, trust, focus, and accomplishment, allowing veterans and first responders to rebuild confidence, reconnect with others who understand their journey, and rediscover purpose beyond service.

Families are central to the healing process. Vet5 recognizes that lasting recovery is strongest when families are supported alongside the veteran or first responder. Through strong partnerships and community involvement, Vet5 is committed to helping every veteran and first responder in need—meeting them where they are and walking beside them as they move forward.

As individuals heal, reconnect, and regain stability, they become part of something greater. With each life touched, the Vet5 community grows—built on shared experience, mutual respect, and a commitment to ensuring that no one who served faces the road ahead alone.

The Future We’re Building for Veterans & First Responders

Vet5 Foundation’s vision for the future is to develop a dedicated Veterans and First Responders Wellness Center on more than 300 acres—a place designed for long-term recovery, growth, and stability after service.

This center will serve injured, wounded, and transitioning veterans and first responders who are navigating the lasting effects of trauma, catastrophic injury, and service-related stress. Through professional counseling, resiliency training, healthy coping skill development, and occupational and recreational therapies, participants will receive structured support that helps them rebuild confidence, manage mental health challenges, and regain control of their daily lives.

Unlike short-term programs, this environment will allow individuals to step away from crisis, focus on recovery, and practice the tools they need to move forward with independence. Families will be included in the process, recognizing that long-term stability is strongest when support extends beyond the individual.

The goal is not just recovery—but results. Participants will leave with greater self-reliance, improved mental wellness, restored purpose, and the ability to thrive with dignity long after they return home.

This vision represents a lasting investment in people, not a temporary solution. It is built on accountability, service, and measurable impact—and made possible through partners and donors who believe that those who served deserve meaningful support for life after service.

Why Choose Us

Why Vet5 Foundation Exists

For many veterans and first responders, coming home marks the start of a new fight—one shaped by trauma, injury, and the loss of structure and purpose that service once provided. Left unaddressed, these challenges often lead to isolation, declining mental health, and long-term struggle for both individuals and their families.

Vet5 exists to deliver real, measurable outcomes. Through outdoor recreational therapy and shared challenge, we place veterans and first responders back into environments that rebuild confidence, restore trust, and strengthen connection. On the water, in the field, and alongside peers who understand, participants regain focus, rediscover purpose, and rebuild the skills needed to move forward.

The result is not temporary relief, but lasting impact—improved mental resilience, renewed confidence, stronger relationships, and a clear path beyond service. Vet5 exists because healing requires action, community, and support that continues long after the uniform comes off.

Why Vet5 Foundation Exists

Confidence Rebuilt Through Real-World Challenge

Vet5 places veterans and first responders into active environments where teamwork, responsibility, and focus are required. These experiences produce measurable outcomes—renewed confidence, improved decision-making, and a restored sense of capability—earned through action, not instruction.

Belonging Built Into Every Program

Vet5 programs are designed for immediate connection. Participants work alongside others who understand service without explanation, reducing isolation and accelerating trust. The result is stronger peer relationships, improved engagement, and a community that continues beyond the experience itself.

Strength-Based, Dignity-Centered Support

Vet5 does not center programs on injury or diagnosis. We focus on what individuals can do, reinforcing resilience, leadership, and independence. Participants leave with increased self-confidence, stronger personal identity, and a clear path forward rooted in dignity rather than limitation.
